OUR STORY

This all started as a passion project in a backyard...

Sugarshack Sessions is a digital music series that featured unique and intimate acoustic sessions filmed & recorded beneath sunshine & palm trees in Bonita Springs, FL in 2014. The idea: do something we loved with people we cared about to share something positive with others. In those days, we filmed local bands (mostly our friends) to provide them high quality video & audio content to promote themselves. We did it for free while we continued to work our day jobs. The seed was planted, and we tended to it. And it sprouted…

In 2016, Sugarshack Media was founded as a startup venture with the vision to build a multimedia company offering creative services while continuing to develop our original music & entertainment programming. After two years of working full time jobs and working full time to keep our dream project going, we quit our other jobs and made the leap.

Sugarshack has grown into a digital media production company & creative studio. Today, we provide full creative & production services, including conceptual development, video & audio production, photography, & graphic design. The digital age has connected us all online and we communicate through content. We are the company that helps people tell their stories.

Plus, the Sugarshack Sessions is now one of several programs featured on the Sugarshack Music Channel that includes an online community of more than 230k+ subscribers who tune in to watch our acoustic sessions, live concert videos, documentaries, and interviews that feature local, emerging, and national bands. It blows our minds that the channel has grown from a backyard hobby into a full-time business with so many people from all over the world as our audience.

Sugarshack Records is our latest addition to the brand family. Our independent record label launched in 2019 and specializes in the production and distribution of live music recordings. We wanted to share the raw and ineffable experience of a live show or acoustic session via the digital marketplace and all streaming platforms.
